What's the deal? I thought there was supposed to be a great update. Shouldn't be underway by now?
Political wheels grind slowly...
Midway Stadium "negotiations" continue but it's clear there will be nothing new "constructionwise" this season. There was never a public announcement of final agreements so there never was an actual construction date.
We've been discussing Midway rennovations in the nlfan.com forums for years. The years of "riverfront" stadiums. Stadiums across from the Xcel. Rennovating Midway.
Much of it has been bogged down by the Twin/Vikings/Gophers campagns for their own new stadia. We can hope/expect that, now that there's a new mayor in place, that maybe they'll move forward with something.
