2010 Fall League

Post by Colonel » Wed Aug 25, 2010 8:48 pm

At the Championship game of the AzFallLeague, I was told that some major changes were on the way for the 2010 season. Part of this included the replacements for the Hawaii Winter League and teams in Goodyear & Glendale. Today, I got the renewal for 2010 and nothing has changed. What gives?

Some will say that nothing happens until the money is placed on the table.

Others say to wait until an actual announcement in an actual city is made.

Maybe the few truly wise among us would say not to believe what you hear and wait until a team wearing a different jersey and flashing pics of their home venue actually appears for the game. "Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see."

I've attended two games with my kids this Fall and they have had a great time. Good baseball, good weather, and lots of chances to grab foul balls. All at $5 a ticket. Perfect.

Oh man, I love it. I attended my first Fall League games today and I'm thinking of making this an annual tradition. This is absolutely great for fans of the minors. Great talent, nice facilities all close to each other. Guys came over and signed frequently. I'm hoping to see Bryce Harper tomorrow.
