New team in Birmingham.
New team in Birmingham.
I have heard that there is possibly going to be a new Minor League team in Birmingham because there is talk of building a new Minor league baseball park in Downtown Birmingham next to the new Railroad park and an entertainment district. ow would this affect the Barons in Hoover?

Why wouldn't the Barons just move into that new ballpark? The current park "Regions Park" is one of the better stadiums in that league. It is not common to have two affiliated Minor League Baseball teams in 1 city. Even a city as large as Birmingham. I think getting the team downtown may not be the best idea. Having to deal with more traffic and potentialy not as safe of a location does not seem like an improvement. The stadium is only 15 or so minutes from downtown and in a great location in my opionion.
