Day one of IceGators open try-outs results in fights!

Post by gator » Fri Oct 08, 2010 10:38 pm

Today the IceGators had their first day of open try-outs and of course there had to be fights...

Two youngsters went at it. Sicard watched and when one guy hit the ice, he pulled them apart (see video: http://frozenchomp.blogspot.com/).

Sicard flipped an opponent over his back at one point. The player did a back flip and hit the ice.

Sicard threw a punch after one opponent pushed him into the boards.

The second fight consisted of Sicard bloodying a much younger player with 20 seconds left in the third period. The fight started when a youngster got one in the net and started celebrating. (Sicard had already yelled to everyone on the ice that he would take care or anyone who celebrates a goal). After Sicard hit the youngster, another youngster took up for him which upset Sicard. Before we knew it, the second guy was on the ground with a bloody nose and his jersey over his head.

What a day..

Sicard needs to be suspended for at LEAST a couple months (if not the whole season)...that is UNACCEPTABLE.
Proud to be a veteran of these boards for the last 5 years...
