It's basically a name change for the PASL to make the newcomers from the MISL feel happy. Same management as the PASL. There will be some rule changes to make the newcomers happy. Salary cap differentials will have to be worked out (the PASL didn't have a hard cap, but teams weren't paying players very much). There are still a lot of teams in this league that play in indoor soccer centers.

BTW, the MISL still exists, but it is down to one team (and the worst one in the league at that).

No, it isn't.

The Roar closed their offices about two weeks ago. They're done.
Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.

I stand corrected. But considering that team's ownership, it's probably a good thing.

How many times have people here wished to just consolidate a sport (or a level of a sport) to one entity?

NK understands the pitfalls and practicalities here... but if owners are a bit willing to listen and learn, it's lab time. The only pressure here is to make money, or not lose a heck of a lot of it.

Oh, is that all? ;)
or not lose a heck of a lot of it.
I think that's one of the reasons the Cleveland Freeze look to be one and done. They were owned by several smaller businesses that enjoyed the novelty, but clearly can't compete at a large loss level for long.
Adios, OSC message boards. (2007-2017)

OK, time for the geographic portion of the show...
West: Tacoma, Turlock, Ontario, Las Vegas, San Diego, Toros Mexico (Tijuana)
South: Dallas, Texas (Beaumont), Brownsville, Hidalgo, Monterrey, Saltillo
Central: Wichita, Tulsa, Missouri (Independence), St. Louis, Milwaukee, Chicago
East: Cincinnati, Detroit, Rochester, Syracuse, Harrisburg, Baltimore
That would be my guess anyway.

That will never work. It makes too much sense.
Now their scheduling formula is a bit weird. Last season, Wichita was in the same division as the Texas teams, but outside of Dallas and Tulsa, played many of its games against the Illinois teams. Under your configuration, expect Wichita and Tulsa to play Dallas a couple of times each.

Well, looks like it did not take long. Tacoma is out and "Seattle" is in.

Isn't it just a renaming? I thought the franchise was destined for Kent since it was announced.
