General Manager, Head Coach believe team is ‘coming together’

EVANSVILLE , In. – A total of 25 players from the tri-state area will be going to training camp in September for the Evansville Crush, a Premier Semi-Pro Arena soccer team. The team held its third tryout Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at Metro Sports Center in Evansville , allowing hopeful contenders and signed players a chance to play together.

Players competed in short 12-minute games to display their skills for Head Coach Andy Hines, who is confident the team being put together will be strong competition in this year’s PASL season.

“Training camp is right around the corner and we are starting to see this team really come together,” he said. “I think we are going to turn some heads this season in the PASL.”

Players from Sunday’s session asked to attend the camp will join signed players Ty Walters, Adam Richardville, Drew Waldroup, Zach Roesch, Khalifa Al-Dunghaishem, Dan Dormeier, Matt Sturgeon, Jared Crays, Neil Peluchette, Marc Lemond and Daniel Trentham. “It was another great workout. We have been allowing the guys that we have already signed to play with the new guys trying out and they have been showing us some great soccer. They are learning to play with one anther and the team is really starting to come together,” he said.
