I got this from our local NPSL team (a non-pro team):

FC Minneapolis has a website:
http://fcminneapolis.com/
They claim to be a non-league professional team (In England, that used to mean anything below level 4 on the pyramid). I don't know what that means here except they don't have a league to play in.
With Minnesota United joining the MLS this season, I would think all the soccer oxygen has been sucked up in the area (sort of the same problems the Cosmos are having).
Anyone ever heard of these guys?

FC Minneapolis was thrown out of the American Premier League (an independent club soccer league in the upper Midwest) for non-payment of league fees - http://www.aplfootball.soccer/league-news/ - and I suspect no other league would accept them, so they're going to play on in hopes of maybe catching on with another league in 2018...
