I am interested to see how the league will do over the next couple years. They are up to 26 teams this season including a whole new south division. They want to be around 32 by the end of next year. They already have a national broadcast deal with ESPN3 and also archive other games to YouTube. I also like the fact that everything is uniform and easy to access on their websites. They really seem to be doing things the right way and I wish more league could follow in these footsteps.
And don't forget Major League Ultimate [www.mlultimate.com], which started a year after the AUDL in 2013 with four-team Eastern and Western conferences. I think the MLU operates under a single-entity ownership model, while the AUDL sells individual franchises.
I think the AUDL's next area for expansion is Texas with possible teams in Austin, Houston and Dallas (Roughnecks?). Check out http://www.ultiworld.com for updates on the sport.

Both of these leagues have nice clean websites. Both also have access to see games live and updated news. Again good to see that even leagues this small can do things the right way. I do expect they will add a couple more teams in the south as well. Maybe Birmingham, Memphis, Chattanooga, or Montgomery.
Charlotte Express of the South Division:
North Carolina’s newest professional ultimate franchise announced today it has adopted the name Charlotte Express, recognizing the city’s history as a transportation hub.
The new team will compete in the South Division of the American Ultimate Disc League starting in April.

Season is just under a month away and there has been a slight change in the West Division.
Salt Lake Lions are not playing this year. Due to location and other factors the league has shut them down.
Also the Game of the week schedule has been posted and ESPN3 will be covering the league.
I'm looking forward to the season starting because San Diego has a team with a lot of great players and they are projected to go deep in the playoffs. Only time will tell, but on the 12th of April I will be at the game making lots of noise and rooting for the Growlers.

Opening weekend and lots of great games. Her is an overview from the league:

I was given the opportunity to help out with the Growlers game and had a great time. Growlers lost to Seattle, but it was still a lot of fun. Unconfirmed attendance was over 600 which is pretty good, hopefully that will only go up as the season continues.
Next game for San Diego is this Saturday against the 0-1 L.A. Aviators.

Final Four are set. San Jose, Toronto, Madison and Raleigh. It was a great season lots of highlight worth plays. Looks like Dallas and Denver may be joining the league next year with Salt Lake coming back as well.
