Here's why even if you are going to create an even lower semi pro level of indoor football, you should at the least understand the operating cost of such a venture.
Below is a profile of the EIF (from its site) now simply looking at what the cost of workers comp. is why would any owner pay the $500 league fee then turn around and pay 10 times more for workers comp. and pay I'm sure what is more than the league fee to players if they are being payed, and if they have more than 50 employees they have to carry mandated health insurance and the cost for that is no joke per player. You see how simply misunderstanding the business of sports can get you into all kinds of trouble, lets not forget the taxes on that players $100 per game, well after taxes $25. You can't make this stuff up it would be funny if you could. Also this points out the waste of time spent putting a story in the weekly minor league report on a poorly planned sports business like the EIF should remain on their facebook page. Now lets go ball!
What does it take to be a Player in the EIF.
Example for the Southern Steam:
The Southern Steam are a professional arena/indoor football team that plays in the Elite Indoor Football. Once a player makes the Southern Steam roster he will receive the items below among other items from time to time.
Pay for every game he plays in.
Will be issued player equipment and game uniforms from the team to use during the season at no cost to the player.
Workman’s compensation insurance for any injuries that happen in a Steam game or practice at no cost to the player.
While traveling to away games the Steam team provides transportation to and from the games, hotel lodging (if necessary), as well as game day meals at no cost to the player.
Team occasionally at their desertion may provide select meals at special functions or during the week.
Player on the active roster receives 2 game tickets to each game he is on the roster (home and away) at no cost to the player.

I thought it odd also, that a professional league like the EIF did not find it over time to go back and correct that mistake.
Mistakes are made all the time on websites, but someone usually comes back and correct misspelled words after a while. but they are probably to busy developing the product....
