Some Ol' Friends Getting Back Together

Post by DFWCC » Thu Aug 13, 2015 1:54 am

Some old friends getting back together again.
I fully expect some re-dating to occur in the Midwest.
Wedding announcements to be forthcoming.
We all know these old boys and a few new faces.

I'm not at liberty to say more at this time

"I'll just drop a hint because I like people thinking I'm an insider."
Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.

Whatever...

I will not betray my confidentiality
but I do want to give heads up to some fans in the Midwest who are
waiting for word on their team.
Its coming is all I can say.
Unless the Owner gives me permission for a pre-announcement
I won't give out team cities.

Ri....ght!
How's that new league working out for you?

What I talking about just started to materialize a few months ago.
Granted It could all fall apart yet as no papers have been signed.
I'll know more when I return from my current travels.
There may even be a release in some areas by then.

CIFL 2.0? Easy to see that Saginaw would like to go on their own after teams in Cleveland and Atlanta folded in mid-season. And Marion is out of the X League too. Saginaw and Marion along 2 to 4 other teams like Chicago, Erie, Reading (ASI) or York. If both Saginaw and Chicago leave the AIF; I would expect Muskegon to jump off the AIF train too. If for some reason this "CIFL 2.0" I short a team or too, maybe they place a rag team in Dayton or Port Huron again. Hopefully this new league will keep its teams within Big Ten country. Not to say I didn't appreciate the NKY River Monsters and the Bluegrass Warhorses.

Ah....
A true detective. You are on your way to stardom but there is another
un-named who lurks in the shadows most unexpectedly.
There are also friends south of the Mason-Dixon line looking
in a new direction.
All is close but not quite settled.
Expect announcement anyday til about 2 wks.

If you know so much, why do you give out your "Intel" only when you feel like you are nsulted? I'm just speculating. I'm not an insider, I'm just a fan.

CIFL will likely return. It's been on again, off again, on again since the season ended, but right now it looks like it will happen. The AIF's recent moves of adding a bunch of teams that won't make it thru an entire season probably solidified the decision.

The information I have comes from an inside source. If he asks me not to divulge any names, I will not.

I'm confused, Amac93 I meant to pay you a compliment for being on the right track. There is a team being talked about that has not even mentioned.
Its not my bailiwick to give out advanced press releases. I just wanted to inform fans that there is likely to be a new "Alliance" with some old familiar foes.
I will leave it to those who pay the bills and put their money up to make official announcements.

I understand the statement but I don't understand your meaning
