Okay, you indoor football experts

Post by daytonadan » Sat Mar 28, 2009 2:11 pm

We had a shutout last night ... there used to be a complete list of all indoor football shutouts, how quickly and accuartely can we put together another one?

I've seen 2:
2005 (NIFL): Daytona Beach 54, New Jersey 0
2006 (NIFL): Osceola 43, Greensboro 0

and know of the AFL's only shutout
1992 (AFL) Orlando 50, San Antonio 0

Let us put our infinite knowledge to good ...

I think that the list should be seperated replacement/original teams.
I have always wanted to know if there were any cases of the home team not scoreing.

The Rome Renegades shut out the "AIFL" Ghostchasers 104-0 in 2006.

I do agree with Gusher that the topic should be separated into replacement/original teams.
Just when I thought I was out....They pull me back in.

The Steubenville team that was shut out at New England in 2007 was made up of replacement players, and the team had no coaches. Way back in 1998 the Green Bay Bombers shut out the Colorado Wildcats 45-0 in the old Professional Indoor Football League, which was the original "arena football for poor people" league. I believe that the Peoria Pirates were shut out in their first af2 game in 2001, but I'm not sure.
