>>The plan is to divide the group into four teams and play six games through the month of April. Those games will be played April 15, 16, 22, 23, 25 and 26.

Spring League CEO Brian Woods was excited about the league’s maiden voyage on the eve of the first training session.

“I think we’ve got a great business model, a good plan,” he said. “I think the NFL community will come out and support it. And they’ve already shown us that. A lot of the NFL clubs will be on site during the time that we’ll be at The Greenbrier. We’ve got a great group of talent coming in as well. We’re excited about that and we’re excited to bring professional football to West Virginia.”<<

He then went on to say that seven current members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame would be playing in the league this year, and that eleven players had turned down more lucrative offers from the 49ers to go to BFE and play scrimmages in front of nobody.

"Good business model?" If there's one thing Brian Woods has shown, it's that he can create no such thing.
Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.
