Indianapolis. IN. Indys Finest, a local team in the new Womens American Basketball Association (WABA) http://www.abalive.com, will be participating in the leagues first official season this March 2012. The WABA is a professional basketball league expanded from the historical and present ABA and will launch an abbreviated season to kick-off the league.
With the WABA coming to Indianapolis for the inaugural season in March, Coach Denise McClanahan has been hired to head coach the first WABA team for the state of Indiana. Coach Mac is a passionate, high energy coach who loves coaching the game of basketball. She is a former varsity high school basketball coach with twenty three years of experience. Over the past twenty five years she has been coaching numerous statewide AAU teams for her own association, Lady Mac, Indianas Finest and her current club,
Indiana Elite.

WABA: Indy Finest to play Chicago Lady Steam on Saturday

INDIANAPOLIS Indys Finest, the citys first Womens American Basketball Association (WABA) team, will play the Chicago Lady Steam this Saturday at Perry Meridian Middle School.
A portion of the game proceeds will be donated to the Heather Norris Memorial Scholarship Fund, named after the 20-year-old former Perry Meridian basketball star who was brutally murdered by her estranged high school boyfriend in 2007.
