Only 500 @ KC debut, deathwatch begins...

Post by JAKMAN » Wed Dec 03, 2003 7:56 pm

The ABA deathwatch is officially on after the "marquee" franchise was only able to get 500 or so fans to the opening win against Jersey last night. If this is happening to KC, I can only shudder what will happen at the Long Beach home tipoff.

For the 3rd time in a row, I expect to see the league shut down operations and cut the season short, maybe for "television reasons."

Why does the ABA even try anymore? Why would anybody want to try anything when they have no chance of succeeding and they crash and burn in the end?

I'm so angry.

Considering that this is just one game I wouldn't completely count the Knights out yet. If they can put a string of wins together early on then you will see the KC crowds of old.

...and that is all the people need to know!

Game #2 in KC only drew around 300 fans. They are truly done.
