Interesting weekend: the first round of ABA playoffs start on Saturday, along with some regularly scheduled games. Also, there was some talk about the PBL calling the season and going straight into the playoffs--a few game have been rescheduled or cancelled, but still seven games are listed on the website. IBA starts their spring season and both the FBA and ECBL are playing some exhibition games. I'll add any changes as they happen.

I noticed some youtube postings of UBA games has the Anderson team listed as the Anderson Runnin' Wild. A search for that name found a facebook account for the Wild that states the team is in its first season as part of the UBA. The league has a team called the Legends in Atlanta, so I thought maybe Anderson decided to change names.

Thanks Dan, you are correct. Despite the schedule still listing them as the Legends, a league blog refers to Anderson as the Runnin' Wild:

Gem City will look to bounce back after that suprise loss last week in the rival game to play against the Anderson Runnin Wild. The Slam will look to get over the .500 mark again (2-2)

Hawks post on Twitter an hour later that they're in the divisional final.
Fayetteville posts at 11:45 How do you lose in any tourney and still advance. Wow gotta think this one over!!!!

So far, the ABA playoffs have been exciting:

First round, Indy Naptown defeats Chicago Fury. Naptown is out and Fury advances. Motor City defeats Team Network, both teams advance.

Colorado Kings, with their impressive 1-2 record, gets knocked out though.

And now, Baltimore advances to their regional final after losing their game (although DMV Warriors are a non-ABA team).

ABA Playoffs: The real March Madness.

I still haven't got a handle on the Kings/Warriors (ABA) vs the Warriors (EBA). Both teams played and won yesterday. They seem to share the same roster so I give up.

I noticed the Atlanta Wildcats played the SouthCoast Fire instead of the SF Gold. The Midnites were supposed to play the Fire, but we're instead given a bye. The Gold were also given a bye. SMH...I would never want to deal with a league that can't keep a straight schedule. As a fan...I mean, seriously... How do you follow this stuff? No wonder most teams struggle to develop a loyal fan base beyond the family and friends of the players.
