Flawed Numbers

OMAHA - The Omaha Storm Chasers opened a new Triple-A era at Werner Park on April 16, 2011. The organization has announced that through the first five seasons, completed in 2015, it had an estimated economic impact of over $87 million, according to President and General Manager Martie Cordaro. $18.5 million of that impact occurred in 2015 alone and the estimated 2016 numbers will push the total to over $100 million.

Okay just when was the last time a minor league baseball team affect 9 counties they are blowing that little economic machine known as Wal-Mart out of the game, note that the chamber got its information from the team in the complete article.

Would this suggest they buy all local items to sell back into the communities, and that they are taking all the credit for anything sold on game day in 9 counties, looks like fuzzy math at its finest.

Now I'm all for the sale but come on man [9 counties] that has question marks all over it, but good for them if they get it sold that way, and there appears to be a buyer...
