Update: The Alliance has added a team in San Antonio, so they have 8 teams which was their goal. And Tim Tebow say's he wants to stay in baseball after his batting average improved in June.

Update: they say their games are going to have fewer TV commercials and affordable ticket prices.

In other words, they're going to lose a ton of money.

Hey, I was right!

So, tell me this, 4th&Long and all the other spring sycophants: how come, no matter how many times alternative leagues fail, you all insist there's a huge market for it?

How come every time, the market proves it's not as interested as you think it is?

How come the league that had the most going for it that any alternative league since the USFL needed a $250M savior after two weeks of drawing a third of what the NFL draws?

When are you going to admit you're wrong?

Heh. Yours is the first post of 2019. I'll be surprised if more than two people see your post.

I'm told that most tickets in Arizona are over $50 a pop, in case you want to call that affordable. Of course, that's part of your point.

I know of one, now. :)

But, of course, you're right. The place has been allowed to get overgrown with weeds. And people like 4th&Long got tired of being wrong all the time and left for some other place.

Looks like they have $20 end zone seats and midfield for $65.

It also looks like, from the Ticketmaster map, they have a bunch of inventory remaining.

*looks around*

Hi,

I was wondering if this place was still around. I guess the answer is barely? Too bad really, I spent a lot of good time on here.

Anyway, it looks like the AAF won't finish the season (or at best won't be back next year). Payroll alone is $3,000,000 a week for the league, forget about the rest of the operating expenses. $50 tickets x 15,000 a game + TV revenue can't cover it all.

BTW... this is the guy who came in saying he had as much as $250 million to keep this league afloat after it nearly croaked in the first two weeks of operation. I think the strings attached to that statement are now made public. The NFL has another laugh... not that Tom Dundon was ever going to actually spend it.

Did you change your clocks a few weeks ago, Dave?

Then it's EDT, not EST.

It's interesting how much "ego" factors into all these stories.
