[quote=""crixus""]Steve Spurrier, the coach of the team in Orlando say's he wants Tim Tebow to play for him. Tebow playing football in Florida again would be a money maker. He's a class act and they love him down there. Now the other 7 teams in the league need to find their own regional football legends to keep pace with Orlando. ;)

All of these "leagues" who have press releases or press conference fail to play a down. They overstate their gate and other revenues.

When you cannot commit to a ticket price, that's Strike 1.
Strike 2 is just overestimating the revenues....

UCF is unlikely to give parking revenues to them, as like the concessionaire would too since the liquor license is in their hands.

Bill Polian never knew how the sausage was made and his spending money generated.
Poor Bill

No, f*** Bill.

Polian treated everyone who came into contact with him who could do him no immediate direct good as a person not worthy of respect.

As for Tim Tebow, he last played in a meaningful football game in....December 2012. And last played a meaningful role in a meaningful football game in January 2012.

Meaning it will have been seven years since he played a meaningful role in a meaningful football game IF he plays in the AAF in the spring of 2019, when he will be 31 years old.

Spurrier was able to get production out of guys who were worse players than Tebow (though it was at the college level where he did that). He'll probably be way ahead of the other teams in terms of offense, and if Tebow decides to give up the baseball thing and play football again (just to play, presumably, because it's not going to lead back to the NFL), it'll probably be fun to watch.

But, please, y'all.

Great point Sam,its the same old blueprint Hold the noisy press conference but what about the off field planning to even suggest that this has any chance of being successful.

Not happening (as you implied).

He's finally making some traction in the Mets organization. His one last best chance at a big paycheck is in 2019 or 2020 with the Mets -- and to throw that away for what will be, at best, a one-and-done league? Tebow's shown himself to be smarter than that...

Up to .244 at last report...in AA. At 30. At least he's not Jordanesque, but he's simply not a baseball player, either.

Neuheisel, Phoenix Latest to Join AAF's Fold

From that:
Neuheisel joins Steve Spurrier at Orlando, Brad Childress at Atlanta, Mike Singletary at Memphis and Craig Erickson at Salt Lake City as head coaches in the AAF.
Uh, no, Fran. Dennis Erickson, not Craig. Craig was the quarterback.

I agree, .244 is nothing to write home about. Tebow should take Spurrier upon his offer while it's still available.

Here's the latest head coaching additions: Rick Neuheisel will coach the team in Tempe, Mike Martz in San Diego and Tim Lewis in Birmingham. 7 down, 1 to go.

There is nothing to see here, I will give you the name ID on the coaches side but we've been here before .if you're going to do this why not build it from scratch these recycling coaches some of them weren't very good to begin with. They speak in terms of not wanting to be a development league so build it bottom up and establish your 🌟 talent the public would find that more interesting.

Lewis got the job because he lives two hours away? Really? Wow.

Ebersol fils' idea that 80 million people - a quarter of the country - stops watching sports entirely the week after the Super Bowl AND that those people will watch a football league with no history, no names (outside of the coaches) and no connections to anything just because they can watch it on their phones and play fantasy football with guys they've barely heard of is ridiculous.

They have some people behind this with actual money and experience. But their premise is flawed. This unicorn that all that's been lacking in spring football is someone to come along and do it right is insane. It's not that. It's that the football cannot be good enough.
