XFL:Orlando interested in getting team

>>Although McMahon said it was too early to determine what cities will get teams — he said the league will go where fans want it to go — Orlando is already expressing interest in rejoining the league which included the Orlando Rage in its only season.

City officials have not spoken with the XFL about a team playing in Orlando, Mayor Buddy Dyer spokeswoman Cassandra Lafser said, but added, “this is something we would be interested in learning more about to bring to Orlando.

After the conference call, the league said, “The selection of cities will take place over the coming months, and a mix of major and mid-major markets in all regions of the U.S. are possibilities.”<< :D

Orlando was one of the better XFL markets and had the best team in the league until their starting quarterback Jeff Brohm was injured for the season. Talent is too thin in a start up league to let the players take quarterbacks heads' off, so I was glad to hear that Vince will be consulting with physicians to make the game "as safe as possible."

Hopefully Vince will put all 8 teams in 2020 in cities without NFL teams. Memphis, Orlando, San Antonio, St. Louis, New York City and Oakland just to name a few.

I would add Omaha and Hartford into the mix for UFL 2.0 coming 2020!

"This is something we would be interested in learning more about" becomes, in 4th&Long's world, "Orlando interested in getting team."

It's easy to see why he gets hyper-excited about nonsense like the FXFL.

Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.
