It will eventually need to make some TV advertising revenue if it has a chance of making money at all one day. That has to be the goal.

Income from a media partner is necessary due to the high cost of football. These aren't the mythical contract which the Rivals League promises, this is legitimate. Only five home games puts an emphasis on the gate revenue to the high enough to try to get close to break even. If there is no media, the average ticket price likely will be three digits.

XFL might work if and only if Vince McMahon and his people are patient and grow the league slow and steady . . . with all the available media streams out there, the XFL 2.0 might not need to get huge numbers to stay afloat . . .

Not betting on it to succeed, but not betting against it either!
