PFT: Spring League to conduct tryouts in multiple cities this fall

>>At a time when the NFL has no developmental league, the Spring League is the closest thing to an apples-to-apples opportunity for players to get game reps. It’s starting small, but that could be the smartest way to go, given the lack of a national appetite for any type of professional football that doesn’t occur under the auspices of Big Shield.<<

Like I've been saying - start small low cost learn and move up. The FXFL should have done this - likely still be playing.

How could the FXFL have started much smaller?

YOU CAN'T DO FOOTBALL FOR CHEAP.

The Spring League is a joke, they could not even play all the games they had scheduled, no one from there will ever make an impact and Brian Woods couldn't sell cold drinks to people who accidentally eat jalopenos.

You've had an FXFL hardon since forever. The concept wasn't going to work, not ever, and neither will anything else Brian Woods touches.

But any time the content/click farm at Pro Football Talk mentions your binky, you rush to post it.
Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.

So to recap, Woods has never completed a full FXFL season, could not keep a team in Mahoning Valley, could not fill all available spots for both his East and West camps of 2017, and now wants to charge $350 for these locations.

Grifter

At least Wello Songz has a new place to send his "highlight reel".

Multiple Cities . . .

Sounds like Brian Woods is going to spread the wealth as far as getting (hopefully for him) more eyes on the product in different locations during the Fall . . .

Might be the only way to engage the NFL/CFL in possible partnership . . .

Long shot at best but Woods is not giving up yet . . .
