MLFB calls off 2016 season before, you know, actually calling it on by scheduling even a single game:

If you had "March 31" in the pool, please cash your tickets now.

The sad part is there will be another boatload of dream-chasers available for them to disappoint in the spring of 2017...

Stock down 26% to $0.64.

Also remember when Athan said "there's no chance we won't play?"

Good times.

Also, there is at least one bright boy on Twitter who seems to think the NFL paid their "major investor" to go away. As if the NFL needs to do that. These spring sycophants are so stupid.

Now down to $0.595, off 31%.

I may watch this fall off a cliff in real time.

For those who haven't bookmarked it, you can keep an eye on MLFB's stock price here:

Now at 52 cents.

This is the most fun I have had today. Now $$0.46.

Chandler and company are losing...hundreds of dollars! ;)

I am not going to pay attention to the price, I'll look at the number of shares traded.

I will be "that guy" and say that I enjoy watching all of this play out on social media. I especially like how quickly Nick Athan or someone else deletes the negative Facebook comments.

What a sham(e)!

Another league crashed and burned before playing a single down.

I feel bad for the players that had such high hopes of playing football again. I still do hope that one day a US league can come around and give these players an avenue to play (even if they never make it to the NFL). As it currently stands, it would take millions upon millions to make it work and sustain it for a number of years. Will it ever happen? I think it's possible, but highly unlikely. Guess i'll just keep dreaming on until the next league pops up.

What's Next?

Can't see this sham of a league coming back "even stronger" for 2017 . . .

Had a feeling when they couldn't actually name the cities/stadiums that this might come to pass . . .

Wonder who steps into the Spring/Summer alternative football league spotlight next???

These people are indefatigable. From Facebook:
Pulled the post with the letter on it off of our social media sites. We'll let that be for the players. An official press release will be sent out tomorrow with greater detail on the decisions from the meetings and the league moving forward. We will post that in the morning!

Until then, know this: We are not going anywhere. We will still be here tomorrow, and the next day, and the next year. We know we have a responsibility to the young men who committed to us, and we are still committed to them. We will still get up tomorrow and go to work for them and for you.

Stay tuned for the details to come tomorrow.
These people are full of ****.
