Hahahaha.......it's so classic that they picked an extinct animal:
"So the Fall Experimental Football League franchise chose a mammoth, a behemoth that disappeared from the American mainland about 10,000 years ago."
There is so much irony here...........

"Go ahead and believe whatever. but no pro football league gets paid by a network unless you are the NFL."
"Wrong there is a cost involved in showing the CFL broadcast in the US , the CFL pays for it."
"It could be an agreement to split costs ,it could be agreement to split any advertising revenue in turn ESPN does have the rights to broadcast games, But ESPN does not hand the CFL a check"
Oh, how Portlandia Unicorns might have fit.
Unicorns don't count as extinct because they never made it to Noah's ship like Mammoths.
We know Mammoths existed because we have their DNA, we have no DNA for Unicorns.
Any animal that wasn't in line for the arc , is considered mythological, others that were in line that may be not be around today are considered extinct.

It's not Noah's fault the two unicorns were gay.
