NewPress: HV Fort's 'Partridge keeps firing away in FXFL'

The league said those issues have been resolve and the Fort went into Saturday’s game with a new coach. By mid-week, the club named Robert Gordon the new head coach. Gordon is a former Nebraska-Omaha receiver who had a 13-year CFL career. He has had coaching stints with other FXFL teams, including the now-defunct Omaha Mammoths and Florida Blacktips.

“The other situation wasn’t working out,” Partridge said. “Obviously, the FXFL did a good job quickly getting us someone who can complement our talents.”

What's really sad, isn't that Gordon coached THREE FXFL teams in two partial seasons. But that one of those franchises is now defunct, and the other has traveled homeless, for both seasons.
