FXFL considers return to Omaha
Would be nice if the writer would have asked Woods on players being payed.
Also how can you expand rosters when this league is suppose to be about cost containment.

Woods said the FXFL would like to see attendance improve but also called it a sponsorship-driven league. And Woods said 2014 was “more about proof of concept than anything else.”
Going forward, Woods said the FXFL might look to regionalize and named Memphis, Oklahoma City and possibly even Des Moines as potential franchises to be near Omaha. It also would like to stay in the Brooklyn and Boston markets.
Some of those decisions will be made next month, Woods said, but he believes there is enough talent available to support a six- or eight-team league.
Fitting it's under the heading of BASKETBALL lol......maybe the author does not realize the FXFL was a football league.
Clearly a very slow time of the year for sports in Omaha. I informed the author that the players have not been paid.
Oh that was you . How do you know they haven't been paid?

Yes, it would have been.
Woods is just...out there. "This is a sponsorship-driven league."
Name for me the sponsors willing to pony up for a league that draws no eyeballs.
Nivea for Men. Okay, another one.

Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.

Well, he is kinda right since he does not pay the players a living wage and have to live off the (in-)kindness of businesses like local hotels and restaurants.
The Omaha MECA spokesperson's comments lead me to believe that they were paid, but the players were not.

Like it or not it looks like the FXFL obituary hasn't been written yet
Oh and it's listed under Football
Wow. You will grasp at any straw, won't you?
The Omaha whatever is the most FXFL-friendly news outlet for some reason. Not exactly a coup.

Much more likely a very slow news time in Omaha and grasping for any story.
The FXFL's obituary was written on Nov 14th, when the league folded.
Oh and the story was listed under BASKETBALL when it was first posted.
PS....have the players been paid yet?
