It is after careful consideration that the NAIF and XLEAGUE have decided not to move forward with finalizing the merger of the two leagues. Both parties mutually agree that this is the best decision for all respective parties. All of us at the X League wish Richard Beem and staff the best in their future endeavors.

:o Is there any one surprised by this, while both parties may regret not doing this . They will wish one day they had allowed the ego to be checked at the door the future of the lower levels of this sport will depend upon relationships, these are business people who are not used to doing deals in order for the growth of the company and I use the term loose. They can't even consider talking to multi millionaire's about dealing with them... wow

We've received confirmation that the X-League has ceased operations and "released its member teams to the AIF."

That would put the AIF to a very large number of teams pending on how many X-League teams fold.

On a plus side, travel could be real minimal with all the teams but that is a lot of working parts, owners, ego and logistics to work out. Could make for a few interesting weeks.

No acquisition. X-League shut down and "released its teams to AIF." AIF didn't automatically take them in, but has admitted several. Our league lineup should be current:

Or at least on hiatus. My take is that AIF is reviewing the former X-League teams on a case-by-case basis, FWIW.
