The reason is the X-league doesn't cost anything to join and is cheaper to operate. Some people fly first class and some people fly stand by. You get the point.

I like the analogy, this is why I have said that leagues that do it right, such as the PIFL and IFL, have little or nothing left to recruit additional markets from existing leagues. The fact of the matter is that you could take any mixture of teams from the AIF or the X-League, throw them into a blender, turn it on, and you would not end up with a single drinkable smoothie. These leagues attempt to make themselves look as much as possible as the leagues that are doing it right but they never can pull it off, they will always be exposed for what they are, always living on the edge and simply throwing something together, they think that the public will never notice the difference. Another Jonathan Gruber moment!
