How Many Teams?
Looks like it is 8 teams for 2015 with a possibility of 10 for the CIF merger.

The lineup is set at 10 as follows:
CPIFL teams 4 (Salina, Dodge City, Omaha, Sioux City)
LSFL teams 3 (Amarillo, New Mexico, San Angelo)
IFL jumper 1 (Texas)
Expansion 2 (Wichita, Gary)

The Gary Dawgs (also referred to as the Southland or Northwest Indiana Dawgs) have dropped out for the 2015 CIF season. The league announced its schedule for nine teams with Gary removed from the CIF North division.

Despite the owner saying several times "not for financial reasons" it sounds like financial reasons. To all these leagues out there *vet your owners, vet your owners, vet your owners.
