The announced formation of the SIF and revival of the CIFL in an alliance could signal the end of the PIFL.

With Erie moving to the revived CIFL and Trenton reportedly folded per Indoor Football Forum, the PIFL is down to five teams which clearly won't work.
Can you provide a link to Trenton folded?
Though, unfortunately I would not be surprised.

6 teams can work, possible even play inter league some games.

But is the pifl on the way out?

No official article but Trenton's folding was posted by the proprietor of Indoor Football Forum who is usually in a position to know these things.

That's a hard website to find anything. And I'm not on Fake book but I'll take your word for it...

So what happens to the pifl?

The Trenton Freedom's fate is now official. The team announced that it will suspend operations.

Well that's a plus for PIFL fans, but with Erie & Trenton gone and a possible
loss of LV there seems to be a lot of work to be done to make this league shine again.
I wish them all the luck.

I'm not an insider but I highly doubt LV will leave the PIFL for the AIF. LV ownership is aware of how the AIF is run and knows they can't fill the seats of a new arena playing semi pro fill in teams. Only way they join the AIF is if they have no other options.

There is a great new arena in downtown Allentown. I've actually seen a game there.
I'm not bashing the LV Steelhawks or the PIFL I hope they can survive.
I expect 100% the Steelhawks will play this year.
The PIFL varies nearly on a daily basis of between 50 to 80% if they comeback.
If LV stays PIFL, they have some killer travel upcoming. Columbus & Huntsville.
Even to Nashville is a long ride.
If LV goes AIF, they have short fan friendly trips to ASI/Reading, York, and Philly.
Could be a substantial cost savings in the travel budget.

There is one other possibility. Lehigh Valley could join Erie, Marion & Saginaw in the revived CIFL.

One would hope Lehigh Valley would take league and team stability into account when making its choice. I'm not lobbying either way, but short trips do little good if there's a danger those teams don't show up in your building when they're supposed to.
