The Louisiana Swashbucklers find themselves off the deaths door step and in the hunt for a playoff spot.

It looks like the only PIFL team with no play off hopes is Knoxville right now. Alabama, LA, Columbus and Richmond are all still fighting to not drop down to that 5th place finish. It's been a heck of a season so far.

It has been a heck of a season on the field and the best run league Albany, Columbus, and Lake Charles have been in yet.

with 3 games left, the next game between Columbus (5-4) @ Louisiana (4-5) Will go a long way to determining the final spot for the playoffs. If the Swashbucklers win, it brings both team to 5-5. The follow week Columbus hosts Albany, the Swashbucklers travel to Alabama. The final week, Columbus hosts Knoxville and the Swashbucklers finish the back to back with Alabama at home.

In order for Alabama to make the playoffs, the Hammers must sweep Louisiana in the last two games of the season. If the two teams split those two games, then Louisiana owns the tiebreaker over Alabama, that would effectively lock Alabama out of the playoffs because the Hammers currently trail the Swashbucklers by a game. Alabama, at this point, is just hanging on by a thread in terms of the playoff race.
