The Global Basketball Alliance Sets Team License Fees!!
(Atlanta, Georgia) (July 04, 2007)- “Moose” Lewis, Managing Member of the Global Basketball Alliance, LLC, proudly announces the yearly team license fees for “the GBA.” to resume play in late January 2008.

States Mr. Lewis, “Since announcing our return to play, the response has been overwhelming from everyone-positive emails and telephone calls from writers, former GBA players, internet webmasters, coaches, and agents. Our concept as a developmental league is so unique and upfront that the basketball world is tilted on its axis. We are forming a world wide (global) developmental league for players and front office personnel as well as owners-yes-owners! A person interested in sports team ownership can join the GBA for a small licensee fee to see if they are truly sports team ownership material. If they are successful, then they can invest thousands on another team in another league. Our YEARLY license fee to own a team is only US$3,500.00 plus uniforms and equipment-AND that license fee never increases from the first year of being in the league. The best thing is our expansion program gives team licensees to get one hundred per cent (100%) of that yearly fee back! The GBA will make its money from merchandising-not fleecing team owners. When a team licensee receives the GBA Operations Manual and Rule Book, they have received full value for what they paid. I am thrilled to be able to offer this to prospective team licensees all over North America and as far away as Germany.” Make no mistake that we will be a true developmental league for the top minor leagues as well as foreign leagues. Tapes of all games will be given to all players and each player will be able to leave the league at any time for a better opportunity. The true benefit of players playing in the GBA is having current footage of their talent in a structured environment-for two (2) seasons within one (1) year-and adequate breaks between the seasons.”

“In addition, all games will be available on the internet through for viewing around the world-and don’t forget, the GBA will be using its own branded basketball by Baden and the red and white moneyball will be a staple as fans love the excitement it brings in the last two (2) minutes and how it keeps all games competitive.”

Persons wishing to be involved with the GBA on a corporate level or license a team are urged to contact us immediately.

Post by zeke41 » Tue Jul 10, 2007 8:34 pm

Anyone know if there is already an owner of the Kissimmee Tango team? I would be interested in getting involved. That would be sweet!

Moose -

One of the first things you need to do is get rid of the names and logos for teams, especially since most of them have already been used by teams. Some of them are to be frank, tacky, and probably illegal. It's best to start off with new names, and new logos chosen by the owners and fans in the respective cities. With the WBA and USBL failing, you have a great opportunity to make this work.

Website shows credibility...something yours is lacking in.

Once you get your act together... I wish you the best of luck.
