Personally, I don't think or see how it's racist. But in a sensitive time, why would you pick a name like this? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

The Tomahawks name is already out after protests from the First Nations.

Putting aside the question of whether it's OK to select a politically incorrect name, it was hopelessly naive to expect people to only associate the Tomahawks name with slam dunks.

I gotta wonder; do the Johnstown Tomahawks of the NAHL ever get this kind of flack?
