Based off of uni, I think the Saginaw photo is from their UIFL days. But that doesn't detract from what appears to be multiple instances of illegal photo usage on that team website.

Sadly no. Doesn't make it any less wrong and illegal, though.

MIAMI STING WILL NOT PLAY IN 2013

League to Re-Structure Schedule for Teams Affected

Fort Myers, FL: The Ultimate Indoor Football League has announced the Miami Sting will not compete in 2013. Do to unforeseen circumstances; the ownership group of the Miami Sting is currently not meeting all the obligations of the UIFL territory agreements. As a result of these circumstances, the UIFL has elected to terminate the ownership groups affiliation with the league. This formal release is effective immediately. The UIFL has worked diligently to find a new ownership group to allow the Sting to play this year. The UIFL was unable to secure new ownership in time to be competitively prepared for the 2013 season. The first game affected by the change is the Corpus Christi Fury, which will now travel to Missouri to take on the Missouri Monsters on Friday March 8th. The league has released the full revised schedule at http://www.uiflfootball.com.

The UIFL was established in 2010 and is entering its 3rd season with teams based in Florida, Georgia, Missouri, and Texas. For more information regarding the UIFL, visit http://www.uiflfootball.com.

When is this shame going to end!

The madness continues....now it's the Sting not living up to their obligations..how many teams have we heard this with from this league already. Stop embarrassing yourself league front office. Step down and just close shop already. Can you honestly look at yourselves and think this is a real league. Pathetic.

Are all those players that tried out and paid money at the team's combines going to be reimbursed now?

What about the Arena....will they be reimbursed for the missed days now that you decide to can the team a month before the season?

Again, the players and fans get screwed over by this league.

You've hit on the bigger question. If a league continually grants teams to owners who don't or can't fulfill their obligations to the league and the other teams, who really is at fault, the owner or the league? Why are such teams granted in the first place? Is it because of a sincere belief that the owner will and can operate the team or are they granted because the league can make a little money and hopefully draw others to invest?

I was only here for a few camp days. Hotel deal expired and we were told to leave. Rumor had it that there was some Miami Hurricane booster set to take over and make the team like the other FL travel squad. No dice I guess. Im out $ and now time. There is a team out of Palm Beach that was suggested and it plays as the uifl Thunder team. Something dont make no sense. Team on east coast playing under west coast name? Somebody help me on that one. Sucks for us and if I ever see the likes of Tom Mitchell again, it aint gonna be good!
