Law suit will affect the future

Despite the presence of minor leaguers in the lawsuit, Minor League Baseball is not a party in the proceedings. However, any changes to player wages would inevitably cause ripples in MiLB, with MLB teams probably looking to recoup any additional player costs from their affiliates. And with 2020 approaching, the economics of the game could be altered by what is decided by Spero.

Now while the outcome may start with affiliated teams, it will end with the independent level teams, which is why I posted here this lawsuit will completely change minor league baseball operations moving forward, and could shutdown some of it.

When the AA commissioner has stated his teams lose a cool million per-season and its owners need to use money from other businesses to operate an AA team moving the pay roll will end the game for those few teams we know are barely operating out to pasture with the herd.
