The Desert League has announced that two veteran Mexican League players will be reporting to Training Camp in September in hopes of making the San Luis Dorados roster for this season.

Nick Garcia, a shortstop and third baseman, spent four seasons in the Baltimore organization before leaving the states for the Mexican League-where he played for 11 seasons at the Triple A level and currently has 883 hits and has hit as high as .328 with Puebla.

Claudio Sanchez pitched ten seasons at the AAA level in Mexico and pitched in 360 games as a reliever with a best season at Chihuahua where he was 3-0 with a 4.12 ERA. Sanchez lives in San Luis, Sonora and Garcia hails from Ciudad Obregon, Sonora-where he was a 19th round draft choice of the Baltimore Orioles.
