Schedule Change # 9343-012048

Post by Colonel » Wed Jun 19, 2013 4:27 pm

However, not released by the League.

Checking the Schedule - it now appears (subject to change) that the Phoenix Team that was to play at Phoenix Muni - no longer has a single homegame all year. I guess that means that they are now a road team.

But, wait, the guy who ran the league said last year that with a bit of marketing from the get go, they'd have been drawing at minimum 500 a game and up to 3,000 a game.

Instead, they get crickets.

They don't know what they are doing, and won't be doing it for too much longer.

Phoenix is no longer listed as a home team.

Also - the games vs the Pacific Association in August has been deleted from their schedule.

Colonel,
Why does it not surprise me that you are already complaining about this league. Go to their web site and you will see, " schedule coming soon" is posted. If you have a problem with the league just don't go to any games and don't follow the league. I only went to only a few gams last season myself. If you are looking for a new team to support try the new Douglas Diablos of the Pecos League. http://www.douglasdiablos.com/

good luck and relax! ;)

Are these guys dead? They last tweeted over a month ago, and their Facebook was claiming a while back that they were trying to get a lease in Tucson to have spring training. It's July 29. Just saying. This thing appears very dead.

Read somewhere can't remember where -- maybe a blog on independent baseball - where they say that the president of the league has made the decision that the league will go dark in 2014 but that they expect to return in 2015 - bigger and better then ever..... perhaps they should put something on their website that says that - I check it each week and nothing new is listed -- :-x

Well, they could hardly be smaller and worse, could they?
