It's exaggerating to call it a "real mess" when it's actually straight forward and clear.

What is really happening is that the president quit to go back to running his own Calgary companies because the family that owns the Vipers has bigger issues like the father fighting a life threatening illness in a nursing home. The president ran the team very well, but he's tired of working 100 hour weeks without any input (and now money) from the family. With the father very ill, I don't blame the family with their priority right now.

We'll have to see in the offseason if the family wants to continue owning the club and if they are willing to put it on the market and if there are any takers for the team. Compared to other NABL teams, the Vipers were run super this year and were not a 'real mess'. John Conrad actually wanted to buy a share of the team, but a deal wasn't worked out.

What it comes down to: Is there a buyer interested in a money losing team in a horrible indy league? Edmonton has an owner with deep pockets and other sports interests which dovetail with the Capitals operation. Calgary doesn't. It looks like trouble to me.

You can put the pom poms away now wally. Judging from your cheerleading the past 5 years all of your predictions are wrong. It'll all come out and if you believe only what you want then of course you live with rose colored glasses. Time will prove me correct-not to mention all the creditors left with empty promises and broken dreams

I sure hope you're wrong, huggybear. But you should back up your blanket accusations with some proof otherwise they are basically baseless for now.

If you have insider information, just state that you do. Otherwise what you wrote was exactly what the Calgary papers reported.

The players have still not been paid their last checks and on top of that the locker room was looted after the season ended and several players had equipment stolen from them. facts.
