My bad.

Honestly I was surprised there was so much conversation about a league that was struggling. :-)

Hey, no problem, if you scroll up a little you'll see I called the CBL the Carolina BL.

The Central Basketball League which is a different league than the CBL that was here in the Carolina's looks as if they may be adding the two teams that TL Ricks owns the Garner Grayhawks and Raleigh Rough Riders that where part of the league here. They also had a team from Gastonia NC called the Stars and a team from Durham called the DragonFlies but I haven't seen any information on either of those last two teams. The new CBL had them all listed as teams but there was no announcement about them joining the league officially yet. The new CBL's website is down now to but saw a post where it will be back up soon.

With so many minor basketball leagues springing up and dropping out, it's inevitable that sooner or later they are going to run out of initials. ;)

An earlier mention of the "Carolina BL" made me think of two interesting team names in the 2003-04 Carolinas Basketball League--the Hickory (NC) Nutz and the Salisbury (NC) Steaks.
