Time to call it a day?

...and "lights out" for the CBL?

The league website is full of expired team domains, or redirections to FBA teams. If this league was going to play this spring/summer, I think we would have heard something by now.

They tried, it didn't work, maybe it's time to shut it down. It's hard to believe that it's been five years since the USBL last played. They seemed to be the closest to keeping a spring/summer league going in history. :(

It's my understanding the CBL will be returning in 2013 with some new teams and a full season schedule ...

I've spoken to multiple CBL people. There's activity.

Seems that anything Dennis Truax touched failed.

I don't think that's fair, particularly since Truax isn't involved in the CBL, I don't believe. He probably helped hold the CBA together for the last few seasons. I think what you've seen is more of a product of what's happened to minor league basketball in general. Truax was just along for the ride for awhile

History

I was just going on his history, which may just be coincedental.

He was there in a big capacity at the end of the USBL. Saw the end of the CBA as Commish and launched the CBA as commish which has ultimately failed. Maybe coincedence, but still odd.

Once the D-League gutted the CBA, it took a herculean effort just to keep it going. I've heard he didn't agree with some of the decisions the final season which may have hastened the league's demise.
