Should OurSports Central continue to cover the CBL?
The best stats available by far were provided by the D-League, the PBL and the UBA (through USBasket.com).
I wouldn't be so quick to throw the UBA in the mix. Those stats are not even close to accurate. A simple totaling of minutes played showed me that those stats are fraudulently thrown together. You only get 240 minutes in a game, and the numbers were all over the place.
You'll also notice that the MPG statistic has been removed from their stat reports now. I'm not convinced they are playing all of those games either.

We now have a schedule posted on OSC, which I am told by the league is accurate and complete. The Port City team will indeed be called the Sharks. We're awaiting a logo for them.

I agree with giving them a chance. But I do think you have to hold everyone accountable. Take the schedule they post on the website and hold them to it. These players come out for the video and the stats. Hold the league to it. I'll give an example of what is not acceptable. See below for youtube film. Watch first and then scroll down to read everything they did wrong.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuzmjlYCTiI
Wrong (see above)
High School Gym (court is 10 foot shorter than it should be)
3 Point Line (they are playing with a high school 3 point line)
There are only 3 people at the scorers table
There is no visible shot clock in the gym
It looks like a friend/fan is just taping it from the stands
Didn't see an athletic trainer with a bag.
Right, See the video below
College Gym
Shot Clocks above basket, correct 3 point line
6 people at the scorers table (full stats on website not just PPG, RPG, APG)
Game Taped and streamed online by staff member
Saw athletic trainer/bag (wearing blue shirt at end of bench)

Since minor league basketball has sunk so low it should be noted that all my comments are merely my personal opinions. They are purely my views that I wish to express using my constitutionally protected right. There are basic standards I believe a pro league or team should adhere to. If you want to know those standards shoot me a PM.
I didn't get as much as I would have liked and some answers were better than others. I'll be interested to hear what was said after I was disconnected.

A subtle, yet important difference.

Maybe do an ABA. Let the board continue but drop the league from the news links. OSC really runs the risk of having wasting its time with the CBL in my opinion.
It covers minor league sports but its also not life vest. I mean the leagues have to help themselves first and use OSC as a great venue to promote the league and discussion. Leagues shouldn't expect OSC to act as a de-facto website due to the derth of information about their business.

Mean Spirited Blogger Number 14
"If games are missed, it hurts no one" ...... ABA CEO Joe Newman 2/9/09
Due to numerous threats of legal action from certain people.......all of the above is my opinion only and it should be noted that I have never invested in the ABA. It is simply one mans opinion.

Put it on message boards, and then the posters are "Mean-spirited", the media is turned off, and the league cry's that the third party message boards are hurting it with the negative, and owe it to post only results, and the positive. The IBL, WBA, and ABA have sailed by on this for years.

Adios, OSC message boards. (2007-2017)
