From the article- a combination of factors for the club's problems, including the plethora of entertainment options in San Francisco. On social media, most complaints about the Deltas centered on the cold weather, the location of Kezar Stadium, parking and ticket prices. Tickets for most home games ranged from $19 to $124 for VIP seats.

SF is not a minor league market, if you are trying to look like a major league sport baseball or some still think the 49'ers are not a minor league team.

It will take years to build that, the operation cost will be too high for a minor league level without TV money coming in to offset the losses like the 49'ers are able to take on.

The product was also simply over priced!

This has more to do with the MLS. It said Indy is out of this round of expansion because of stadium issues. Too bad the old RCA Dome site isn't available.

Not sure I saw this mentioned - the NASL has cancelled its 2018 Spring Season.

Yes, they claim it's to change their calendar so that the 2018 Fall Season and 2019 Spring Season will combine to form a 2018-19 championship season -- but it's really because with the loss of Indy Eleven, they simply can't form a league this spring.

I don't think anyone actually expects the 2018 Fall Season to happen.

Say good bye to the Indy 11 and any other prospective team not in the sun belt.

The possible defection of two California teams, prominent in the league’s recent expansion announcements, perhaps signal some rocky days ahead for the league.
Way to put your toe in the water, there, Kristian Dyer.
Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.
