No he's not. He's quite mad.
Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.

The remnants of the NASL are playing - as "NPSL" sides - in the zero-round of the US Open Cup (the round they forced by suing US Soccer) tonight. While I'd like to believe that justice will prevail and all three NASL clubs will lose, the reality is that all three teams are better than their opponents and will almost certainly make the first round proper.

In the most karmically wonderful result in the history of American soccer, the Brooklyn Italians defeated New York Cosmos B 3-2 last night to eliminate Rocco Commisso's mouth from the US Open Cup.

The other two NASL teams in NPSL clothing did win, and will play in the first round on Wednesday night.

Brooklyn has more history than even the Cosmos. They date back to the 1940s, used to have a pro side that played in the ASL and won the US Open Cup twice.
The Cosmos (new and old) have never won the cup.
