No talk of eastern expansion or are they going to play one another four times again. If all just seems a bit f'd up.
You know, that may sound funny, but if their funds are limited, what would be wrong with starting a 4 team league, in markets where you might get fans, have them play each other 4 times then expand after you market, finance, get sponsors and solidify that many strong teams?

Why not just start with Baltimore, Trenton, Harrisburg and Richmond maybe. Of course I just come back here to see if there are any Baltimore rumors, but seriously, why not start small, get solid, then build, maybe add 2 more teams the 2nd year.
Some good questions. I would love to know the whole truth to the SIFL ownership thing. I am not sure who the controling party is.
We can expect a press release soon out of Florida to clear up all of the confusion.

Heard it through the grapevine (and not from Marvin) that there are currently 8 teams in the fold for the 2012 SIFL season, Thom Hager is out of the league picture altogether, and the league will go to full arena rules including live nets for the 2012 season.

And if I might ask, who is running the show?

Better question: who ran the show in 2011?

After last season 8 teams is very good number. I say turn the league over to Columbus and let them run it for awhile.

Not saying Marvin is wrong on this, but I'm getting conflicting reports. Some are telling me that there is no indication that Hager is not still running the show and reports also that Tufford has gone even further underground and not even returning calls from Hager. As I said not disputing your info as I really don't have any first hand info to confirm anything.

Hager and no Tufford would not be a step in the wrong direction. Maybe not as drastic a change as we'd want, but certainly a step forward.

Just back to square one, I know, but that's better than what we saw in 2011.
What are you doing here?

Finally some evidence that he exists and is working hard to ensure that the SIFL becomes the premier indoor errr arena 2 league. Shortly after this video in a rare press conference interview he was quoted as saying “Dan what’s my line” and “turn the damn cue card” He went on to say that this "off-season stuff is a lot like the on-season stuff just with more time spent up-dating my resume. When asked about next season He said "I am looking forward to a next season I never have had a season 2... cool”. Of course he ended the interview with his signature saying “Not on my watch” which we now are beginning to understand the true meaning to this profound statement.
