Thats a lot of work for what most would consider to be made up numbers. I do wonder why some teams choice not to put anything down for attendance. Question who gives the stat service that number anyway? I mean if it a stat guy where does he get? NOW in some cases I gues he could count, heck I have been to some games where you could have a roll call.

Know one of the owners of the Erie Explosion.
All tickets are lazer scanned as one enters the arena.
In Erie its just a matter of pushing a button or two to get an
accurate gate count.
Its when a team reports 1225,1800,1950, nice round
numbers then you know its a guest-a-mite hoped-for
figure that is questionable..

Think some teams are afraid to report how bad att is, knowing people who read about the game will think "heck must not be any good if no-one is going to the game". A self depricating philosophy.

Question who gives the stat service that number anyway? I mean if it a stat guy where does he get?
At ERIE's Tullio Arena all tickets are bar coded and lazer scanned upon entering the arena. A computer keeps an up to the min accurate count.

Never been to game that low in Erie. I have a hobby of keeping att figs for loacal teams. Seawolves (AA BaseBall), Otters (OHL Hockey),
Bayhawks (NBA D Basketball) Illussion (WPFL w-outdoor FB) Outlaws (Men-outdoor FB) and the Erie Admirals Outdoor soccer. Plus 3 college teams(FB,BB only)
.

Good thing I'm a sportsnut don't have to work anymore and have the means to go to most of these games.

575 average for the Harrisburg Stampede???????

We've played Harrisburg's Central Penn Piranha 3 times in Harrisburg (granted, they were deep-playoff games with National Championship implications), and they (the Piranha) did a good bit better than that as far as home crowds.

Not even close. Look at game films that are available. I have been to game s this season in Richmond (800), Trenton (500) and Hburg (300). These are accurate numbers for that game and I cannot speak for others but my guess is highly inflated in top 8. I could be wrong but film does not lie.

And that's the TRUTH.

You hit it right on the head Truth. When I was in Jersey I went to the Steel/Stampede game on May 7th. There was approx. 1,000 people, I'll even stretch it to 1,500 tops - 2,000 even (I'm a mad man!). I also spoke to a couple of friends that I knew are Steel season ticket holders and they told me, "we have a really big crowd tonight", "this is the most we've had so far". Plus, I didn't even buy a ticket. I was literally handed a comp ticket outside from some unknown guy with a bunch of tickets, just handing them out. I walked down and sat 4 rows behind the bench. I understand they inflate the numbers to attract corporate sponsorship, I get that. Just stop trying to make it bigger than it is. Especially, the Steel/Force/League owner...I don't know him but I heard he's a "sports agent"....if so, is this is how you conduct yourself and your business? I heard and read on a post, all the Fayetteville players are still owed money. And you're going to "represent" an athlete? Don't know about that. Shame, because I do feel bad for the fans that truly believe in their teams and support them. Then have to deal with all these shenanigans and lies. Be well all.

Can't vouch for the validity for 15 of 16 teams listed. Will say the games I've attended at the Erie "Tulio" (former mayor) seem to be very accurate. As i said before all tickets are bar coded and lazer scanned. You keep your ticky the lazer eyeball knows your seat and where you're supposed to be. Ha Ha!
I know the owner. He walks around and talks to people in the stands.

I do beleive the Erie numbers. There are no computer views of Erie local games bec the rights are held by Image Sports Network and delayed broadcast in full the following Monday night.

AS for the other 15 teams. I get the numbers from game box scores.
If they lie they lie. Not responsible. Just report what I see.
