Force in trouble .......... next to fold????

Appears trouble has now hit the northern end of the SIFL. Local ownership "may" save team

Sources: Fayetteville Force players go unpaid

It would be nice to get some good news out of the SIFL, but seems bad is only followed by more bad.

Whats sad is the few quality teams have to suffer through all the negative pr with nothing from the league on how they intend to right the floundering ship.

On the bright side, if Fayetteville does fold, the Raiders will have no competition for the Mid-Atlantic Region 'title'. Ironic since 8 of the starting players on the Force were Raiders last season.

Also I love the ticker at the top of the screen on the Force web page.

"Spend your income tax check on something that lasts…season tickets to the Fayetteville Force, the most exciting events in town!!!!"

Another question: if it's true the Force is in trouble, is Trenton, too, since they share their majority owner?

Do you guys think SIFL teams will leave next season and join other leagues? And if so, what leagues?

If the af3 dream comes to fruition next year it might be the only choice anyways as the AFL really isn't interested in them all. Or will the SIFL imploding void and interest or contract to take them over.

Would this suprise me? No, the force were one of the last minute teams thrown together to make the league bigger in numbers. I have nothing to base this next comment on, but I wouldn't be shocked if the next team we hear about in trouble were the Alabama Hammers. They also were a last second throw together. Time will tell
Changes.... they are a coming......

Question to ponder might be if the Texas teams crawl back to the IFL next season and the remaining solid SIFL teams in the south and northeast head to the UIFL??? Another interesting question might be if teams leaving leave Louisiana behind? It may be that no league would want Hager.

I just talked to a WR from the Force, he said film and practice is still on for tonight. He says the game is still on for Friday.
