Reading and St. Louis

Post by ArenaJoe » Sun Dec 01, 2013 6:58 am

Let's see how long these two teams last. The St. Louis team was for sale before the season even started. Looks like Haines is at it again....start and bail. What other sport will he try and ruin? Owners of the MISL did not do their homework with this guy.

USL (MISL) really doesn't do much homework.

Apparently not. Haines brags about starting so many teams and leagues but how many are still around? Now he has started two more teams with another "sucker". I just hope the teams last the season but regardless, I am sure he will more onto other teams and leagues. When will he be stopped??

They may have just gotten their first "test" results back.
Tonight in Reading.
1-A Youtube crowd that was probably bigger than those in attendance, disguised as blue seats in Reading.
2-A 21-2 loss to Baltimore.
3-Turf that was coming up at the seams across both ends of the floor.

Purely, a disappointment that the MISL has come to this.

I would be curious to know the exact, paid count in the seats. The press conference to announce this team was more impressive than what we saw tonight.

Here is the YouTube game highlights link:

Has to be seen to be believed. The production is straight out of an 80's high school AV class and if there are 100 people there, I'd be surprised.

Who gets hyped for indoor soccer right now?

When I say that, compare it to:

- Indianapolis selling 7,000 season ticket deposits for the new NASL team.

- Sacramento selling 3,000 season ticket deposits for their new USL PRO team... without even the benefit of knowing how their stadium will be set up yet.

I mean, damn, I even see a group in Boise pushing for a team now.

Haines does not care about the team's record, fans or sponsors. He wants to get in, make a quick buck and then leave town. I am sure he will do it again!

For Sale

Post by ArenaJoe » Tue Dec 31, 2013 4:31 pm

Just as I predicted, both teams are currently for sale.

Tonight's score:

Baltimore 24, Pennsylvania 0. Purely embarrassing.

Teams meet again in Baltimore on Saturday.

Reported attendance: 937

I wonder if that's the reason the Wichita owner bailed on the MISL. He's owned the indoor football team for a few years now, and probably knows some of the shadier people in the game.
