Indoor Professional League: The owner of the Baltimore Blast in the Major Arena Soccer League has again announced plans to form a new indoor soccer league that is expected to be known as the Indoor Professional League (IPL). The Blast and the MASL's St. Louis Ambush will be members along with other teams in the Northeast and at least one in Florida. The same owner talked about leaving the MASL and forming the IPL after the 2014-15 indoor season.

This while, of all things, the futsal league has amassed some ownership star power.

Good luck with this.

Perhaps this is why the MASL playoff press release shows "Subject to change" next to the Blast's #1 Eastern Division seeding.

Would the MASL dare to boot Baltimore from the playoffs? We will probably find out early next week.

The MASL East playoffs are already a mess, as the Detroit Waza Flo don't have availability for a home game, and Syracuse apparently couldn't get two dates, so the "two-legged" playoff is a single game. This means that the Detroit-Syracuse winner could reach the MASL Final Four after one game (and a forfeit win over Baltimore), while the other three teams will have played 2 or 4 games to get there. Seems fair.
