The Major Arena Soccer League, North America's top arena soccer league, has named the 20 teams confirmed thus far for the 2015-16 season.
Three expansion teams will join the league for the new season, as teams will begin play in Hartford, Conn., Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Sonora, Mexico. They join 17 teams returning from the previous season. The 20 teams set to play in the upcoming season are:
Baltimore Blast; Brownsville Barracudas; Cedar Rapids Rampage; Chicago Mustangs; Dallas Sidekicks; Detroit Waza Flo; Harrisburg Heat; Hartford City FC; Las Vegas Legends; Milwaukee Wave; Missouri Comets; Ontario Fury; Sacramento Surge; St. Louis Ambush; Rancho Seco Saltillo; Soles de Sonora; San Diego Sockers; Syracuse Silver Knights; Tacoma Stars; Turlock Express.
Two groups are still going through the final expansion process for the 2015-16 season, and could receive approval in time to field a team this November. The teams are located in Cincinnati and Tijuana/Baja California.
Division formats will be announced in the coming weeks, and a final schedule is expected soon after that.
The Major Arena Soccer League will open the 2015-16 Nov. 1, 2015, with the season scheduled to end at the February. Teams will play a 20-game regular season schedule.
MASL Confirms 20 Teams for 2015-16 Season
Concerning in this article is the line.
1) I still don't believe Baltimore is committed to competing this season.
2) Youngstown Ohio; is still a rumor which I'm wondering if local interest or the rest of the leagues pieces are the holding back point.
3) If the Baltimore domino falls. Will this have positive or negative repercussions on the rest of the league? East coast seems to be a hard sell at this point and could be costly travel wise.
Mid-August, you'd like to think the line-up would be fully set and schedules could be anticipated. The Major Arena Soccer League, North America's top arena soccer league, has named the 20 teams confirmed thus far for the 2015-16 season.

Do you follow indoor much? This is par for the course.
What is Baltimore going to do? Sit out? They're apparently not going to have their own alternative league.
And Youngstown is apparently a rumor that won't go away, but no one has ever pinned their hopes on Youngstown.
Lastly, losing Baltimore (if it comes to that) would seem to be a negative, yes? The best-established team of the bunch, in the city with the longest history? How can that be a positive?

Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.
Baltimore Blast re-signs five players so I guess that means they are back in the MASL. Unless another indoor soccer league pops out of the blue.
