That's right, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal (http://www.lvrj.com/sports/sparse-crowd ... 04831.html), the Las Vegas Locomotives had 601 people in attendance at kickoff, though "it was probably less than that."

That isn't even enough generated revenue to keep the lights on...

Which will undoubtedly be turned out on the UFL...Real soon.

I wonder how the folks at CBS Sports felt about showing the game, and its sparse crowd, this week???

"we haven't marketed it. We haven't been able to" Jim Fassel admits it all with this statement. I have been to ABA games that had many more people than that. Regardless of marketing or not 600 people is not a bad night, it is a statement by the people of Las Vegas that the Locos are not welcome plain and simple. The farce needs to end.

I watched the game on CBS and I would say the crowd was more like 100....seriously. On top of that, the UFL pays $150,000 per game to have it televised???????

Can't see the league going more than a couple more weeks.

I also heard the UFL gave away some free tickets to the first LV game. If you look at the photos on fbook, the turnout is awful.

yes it was a sad crowd but in no way was it 100 people. Yes it looks that way when your in a stadium that holds what 36,000? UFL as a whole have done a poor job at letting people know about their product. I love football and watch it at every level, indoor and outdoor and i watched Wed night but honestly didn't even know the season started a week earlier. People don't know about it then they won't show....right?

The promotion of the UFL is terrible. Nobody knows what it is or when it's on. Even if you didn't like it...The XFL knew how to promote, you knew what it was and when it was on. Why does CBS advertise during their NFL games?

Yes Las Vegas did give away free tickets to the first game... I only saw it advertised on facebook... NO local advertising at all for it.

Does anyone know any attendance figures for the other games this year?

I believe the high was just over 6,000 for Sacramento's home opener. The game Wednesday night in Omaha drew just over 2,000, if I remember correctly. I saw an updated attendance average, and it was something like 3,900 for the seven games played to this point. Remember, those are announced figures, too. Actual attendance appeared to be less at some games.
