When the MAHL announced on March 18 that the Vikings were moving to Ohio, it said the team's new arena would be announced "next week".
It has been well over a month with no announcement. And now, if you go to lakeerievikings.com and click on "arena" the information and pictures for the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena are back.
Maybe Haines had a change of heart in Jamestown and the Jets won't be the only team playing this fall....
Vikings to return to Jamestown?

Actually, it listed tryout information at The Pond in Auburn Township, Ohio for April 18-19.
So I'd say that's their new home.

Proud to be a veteran of these boards for the last 5 years...
Auburn Township is located just south, and very east (in another county)
of Cleveland. It could be considered north of Kent, Ohio.
As I live in the Cleveland area, I can assure you that there was absolutely no
media coverage of the Vikings since they came to the area and announced
tryouts.
BreakersFan -- I'm pretty sure that the Vikings website was never updated.
It's kind of a re-creation of the MAHL's home page with some mish-mosh about the
Vikings thrown in.
For those who care: The Pond's website

My feeling is that the team will either move, never play, or play "ABA type"
games (You hear a score, but have no witnesses. Along with proof that the rink
was otherwise used at the time...)
Of course, thats assuming that the league can drop a puck in November in the first place.

Adios, OSC message boards. (2007-2017)
He hasn't had a change of heart. He's just too lazy to get it fixed. Haines mentality:
Why change it twice (take down old info, put up new info later) whan I can just do it once (put up new info)?
The party that would have to change their minds for a MAHL return to Jamestown would not be the MAHL but rather the City of Jamestown.
